To enhance student training and foster collaboration, the CSENND team is applying the Entering Research curriculum from CIMER. We are also partnering with CIMER to create activity guides on entrepreneurship.

There is a critical need to develop an engaged and scientifically literate public. In Phase 1, CSENND partnered with the Bloomington Arts Commission to create a public mural that explored concepts of size and scale in the context of human benefit. This installation was coupled with activities shared at local events, including the science museum Wonderlab. For Phase 2 we welcome new partners in Indianapolis (IndyArts, DaVinci Pursuit, and Arts for Learning), Philadelphia (Mural Arts Philadelphia), and Bryan, TX (Bryan Art Path and The Children’s Museum of Brazos Valley).

CSENND is partnering with the Primarily Undergraduate Nanomaterials Cooperative (PUNC) to facilitate collaborations between PUI-CSENND researchers, host a yearly virtual poster session for undergraduate students engaged in nanoscience research, and exchange educational materials focused on nanoscience. To get more information about PUNC-CSENND opportunities, contact our liaison Kathryn Riley at Swarthmore.
